| Product Details | ACRO Presents Godzilla |Remix Series: Godzilla (2001) Sculpted by RYO (Nendo Seijin) Building upon its extensive experience producing Godzilla sofubi products in Japan, ACRO is proud to launch a new line of Godzilla collectibles for international markets. Partnering with renowned sculptor RYO (Nendo seijin), ACRO proudly introduces the Godzilla |Remix Series. Utilizing ACRO's U-Vinyl technology (burn-out mold process), the series faithfully reproduces the intricate details, textures, and sculptural nuances of the original artwork. This innovative process combines the unique appeal of sofubi with the level of detail typically found in high-end statues. ＜Comment from RYO (Nendo Seijin) on the Creation of Godzilla (2001)＞ I believe Godzilla (2001) is one of the most terrifying versions of Godzilla in the entire series. To capture its ominous and sinister atmosphere, I drew inspiration from the imagery of Japanese folklore, particularly the eerie creatures, demons, and ogres depicted in traditional Japanese paintings. I incorporated flowing, twisting forms throughout the sculpt to give the entire figure a powerful sense of movement. At the same time, I wanted the design to reflect the traditional beauty of Japanese art, incorporating elements of iconic creatures such as komainu (guardian lion-dogs) and dragons. I believe emphasizing the flowing, dynamic shapes helped bring out these unique qualities even more. I could go on describing my ideas, but above all, I feel that I was able to sculpt the Godzilla I love so much, exactly the way I wanted to. I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it Sculpt by Ryo (Nendo Seijin) Cast in Vinyl and PVC by ACRO |
